Research Achievements

  • Analyzed metastable ions fragmentation and determined the accurate masses of ions in the electron impact mass spectra of numerous classes of thiophosphororganic compounds, newly synthesized


  • Determined the amount of kinetic energy released during metastable ions cleavage, for classes of thiophosphororganic compounds


  • Elaborated the fragmentation pathways for several classes of organic compounds with biologic potential


  • Elaborated, validated and applied an improved GC method for the quantitative analysis of VOCs in complex mixtures.


  • Elaborated, validated and applied a quantitative GC/MS method for the determination of the carcinogenic bis-(chloromethyl) ether in laboratory air


  • Elaborated, validated and applied GC and GC/MS methods for the quantitative analysis of anaesthetic vapors in surgery halls


  • Contributed to the sampling and the quantitative analysis of carcinogenic pollutants found in cigarette smoke


  • Contributed to the SIM-GC/MS study of the glycine transmembranar transport in human red cell


  • Contributed to the GC/MS quantitative determination of cotinine levels in the urine of smokers and non-smokers
